High-build primer is not a shortcut around poor bodywork. It is there to fill sanding scratches, minor low areas, feathered repair edges, and the small waves left after filler work. Spray a test panel or masked section first. Check how the primer lays out, how quickly it flashes, and whether your gun is delivering enough material. Adjust one thing at a time. Plan your spray path before pulling the trigger. Start each pass off the panel, move across at a steady speed, and release after the fan clears the opposite edge. Overlap each pass about 50 percent.
